Hello Oberon

2008 was an incredible year for Phillip and I. We spent some memorable time together travelling and working around the globe to come home to Sydney in 2009 to welcome our new son OBERON KRISS-LANGE. He was born on January 9th 2009 at RPAH at 4:20am in the morning. It was a rather long and eventful labour, 2.5 days later with mum and dad both exhausted he finally entered via emergency caesarian section. As soon as we came to hospital with the contractions at 3 minutes apart, they appeared to stop and thus began the difficult journey. What began as an attempt at a natural birth, turned out to be the total opposite with pethadine, an epidural and even the waters broken by the midwife. In the end Oberon's heart beat was staying low at each contraction so the midwife and the doctor made the clever decision to bring him into thw world via caesarian section. I was grateful for it be over and for my "little man" to be healthy and with us finally.
